Fraud or not?
When someone flip through previously read any of Robert Kiyosaki's books he bought - can he find anything that would have helped him get to where he want to be? Some would consider Robert Kiyosaki a fraud. Maybe his true source of income is really from his books, not investing as he claimed. BUT - you should give him credit for inspiring to take the first step towards financial freedom. Some says, that Mr. Kiyosaki is less than truthful in his books. and he was caught in a lie by Money Magazine and THEN he changed his story! Do people make money in real estate? Yes, of course they do. But some people believe that a lot of these so called real estate/money making gurus make more money by selling their books/courses than investing. And most important: do rich dad exist? John T reed says: One visitor (...) asked me if I was sure Rich Dad really exists. No, I'm not. In fact, I now lean to believing that there never was a 'Rich Dad,' that Kiyosaki made the whole thing up. If I had written such a book, I would have named him in the book, if only out of gratitude. (...) Kiyosaki refuses to identify 'Rich Dad' and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin was unable to figure out who it was in spite of the rather obvious 'next-door neighbor Mike whose father owns convenience stores, restaurants, and a construction company' clues. The man was purportedly around 30 to 45 years old in 1955. So he would be 75 to 90 now. How many people on that one street in Honolulu could possibly fit that description? So what do you rhink about it? In my opinion R.K. mede more good by seloing his books than bad. But the answer is up to you. Robert Kiyosaki, although it sounds strange, had two fathers. Rich dad and poor dad. Biological father, PhD, head of education for the State of Hawaii, had always not enough money and died in debts. Second one, that left shool at the age of 13, realised his life plans and become one of the most rich people on Hawaii. Kiyosaki is best-known for his books on investing. His first bestseller was titled Rich dad poor dad Kiyosaki uses the "rich dad, poor dad" comparison to illustrate his view that the majority of people are stuck in what he refers to as "the rat race" - living paycheck to paycheck and spending all of their time working to pay bills. In his books, Kiyosaki advocates tax-advantaged investment vehicles, such as real estate or businesses, rather than the traditional individual ownership of securities. He describes what he calls the cashflow quadrant, which is an attempt to differentiate between Employees, Self-employed or Small business owners, Businesspeople (as in those who buy and sell businesses, rather than running their own), and Investors. Didactic games In an attempt to open more minds to the thought processes of the rich, Kiyosaki has created several games to reinforce the points in his books. His first game, Cashflow 101 |
